D Day

From 29th February 2008 all New Zealand investment advisers must provide clients with a Disclosure Statement, detailing a range of information including
  • their experience and qualifications;
  • criminal convictions;
  • fees charged detailing the nature and level of fees charged;
  • interests and relationships (including all remuneration); and
  • the types of securities the adviser advises on.

Disclose IT

Disclose IT is an on-line tool designed to streamline the production and maintenance of Disclosure Statements.

Disclose IT uses contact and qualification information stored in an Education Portfolio, together with your responses to a series of questions, to guide you through the information that needs to be disclosed.

Disclose IT prompts you to update your Disclosure Statement as your contact, qualification and professional membership details are updated and maintains copies of older finalised Disclosure Statements.

Disclose IT is available to Education Exchange subscribers for NZD $49.00.

This includes

  • use of Disclose IT for twelve months.
  • prompts to update your disclosure statement when records are updated, else bi-annually
  • notifications on regulations or legislation requiring updates to your Disclosure Statement

At the end of this period your subscription can be renewed for NZD $49.00 per annum.

Financial Planning businesses, who need to maintain disclosure statements for groups of advisers, can customise Disclose IT to include standard fees and declarations and customise the Disclose IT workflow to include checks on each docunet before it is released.
